What does it look like to aspire to holiness? What theological ideas can be found in the rituals? This week, Tamar Kamionkowski describes the priestly view of God as like a chemical force that is completely holy and pure that does not shift and change like our human bodies do. So how do we strive to connect with the Holy who is also wholly Other? Leviticus focuses on the ritual purity of people not as a declaration of who is good or bad, but as a way to bring attention to the reverence with which people access holy space.
